When is the World Series?
The World Series Opening Ceremonies will be held on Friday, August 12 at Yost Field in Jim Barnett Park (1001 East Cork Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601). The tournament games begin on Saturday, August 13 and run through Saturday, August 20.
Where is the event being held?
All public events, including Opening Ceremonies and the games will be held at Yost Field in Jim Barnett Park (1001 E. Cork Street) in Winchester, VA or in the Park’s Active Living & Recreation Center.

What time are the games?
Click on the Event Schedule tab above and choose Game Schedule in the drop down menu.
What if there is inclement weather?
For any changes, look to the World Series home page and schedule for updates. Announcements will also be included on the City of Winchester website and on local radio stations (92.5 WINC FM). You may also call the Winchester Parks & Recreation’s cancellation hotline at 540-662-4946, ext. 2833.
You can also request to be added to our alert list and have cancellations and delays sent directly to your mobile phone. Email your request to worldseries@ci.winchester.va.us and provide your cell phone number.
Where should we park?
General parking is available within a short walk of the field and at satellite locations close by.
* Parking will not be allowed on the streets close to the field, including Cork Street and Maple Drive.
* Parking will be available at various locations throughout the park.
* Parking at Yost Field will be limited to World Series officials and for handicap parking.

Are parking and other facilities available for handicapped visitors at the field?
Yes, there is parking available at Yost Field for handicapped attendees and the facility is wheelchair accessible.

The teams come from all regions of the United States. For more information, click on the Teams tab.
How do I buy tickets to the games?
Tickets can be purchased by calling Winchester Parks & Recreation at (540) 662-4946 and picked up at WILL CALL or purchased at the field. Tickets may also be purchased at the War Memorial Building in Jim Barnett Park prior to the start of the tournament.
How much do tickets cost?
* Banquet of Champions Ticket - $15 per person
* An individual, one day ticket is $5 (Free for kids 4 and under)
* An individual, tournament pass – good for all games is $25
* A family pass – good for a family for all games is $50
Is there a limit to the number of family members that can enter with a Family Pass?
There is no limit to the number of family members per family pass as long as they are truly family members living in the same household.
Will we be able to come and go from the games at Yost Field?
Visitors will receive a handstamp or wristband when entering the event. The handstamp or wristband will allow you re-entry to the event for that day.
Will the games be televised?
We are excited to announce that all games will be televised via the web-based Babe Ruth TV network. Whether you are able to tune in live, or prefer to view a game On-Demand, BabeRuth.tv has you covered – for FREE! BabeRuth.tv’s broadcast partners at Youth Sports Live and Global Sports have made it possible to do lots of cool stuff:

Do we need tickets for the Opening Ceremonies?
No, these events are free and open to the public. During those events, however, game tickets will be for sale at the field.
Is there assigned seating?
No, all seating is open seating, available on a first come, first served basis.
Can spectators bring their own folding chairs and tent?
Yes, fans can bring in their own folding chairs and tents.
Can fans bring their own coolers and food?
No outside coolers will be allowed in the stadium area. A concession stand will be open during the tournament.
Will there be souvenirs?
Yes, many great items will be available at our Souvenir Tent at the field.
Will there be food available at the games?
Yes, a variety of prepared and snack items will be available for all games and events held at Yost Field.
What forms of payment will be accepted?
* Cash and credit/debit cards will be accepted at the Ticket Booth and Souvenir Tent.
* Cash back transactions will not be available.
Will there be an ATM at Yost Field?
Yes
How far is downtown Winchester from Yost Field?
Old Town Winchester is approximately 1.5 miles from Yost Field and easily accessed via Cork Street.
Will there be a water jug provided for the players in the dugout?
Free drinks will be provided in the dugouts for all teams.
What is there to do in and around Winchester?
There are plenty of fun things to do in and around Winchester. Chartered day trips to Washington, D.C. and down the Shenandoah Valley will be available for a fee. Other partial day excursions will also be available. Check the Excursions page under the Travel tab for more information about activities or trips available during the tournament week.
Will there be Medical Personnel at Yost Field in case of an emergency?
Yes. The official medical team, Bone & Joint Specialists, will be on-site throughout the entire tournament.
